Our Faith
MISC was established with the foundation of Reformed Christianity and with the purpose of evangelizing Cambodia. MISC requires all teachers and staff to share this faith and founding purpose together.
Our faith and the derived founding purpose are the unchanging and enduring values that shape the identity of the school. All educational curricula and activities are planned within this faith and for the achievement of its goals.
Our faith adheres to the following core Christian doctrines:
– God created humanity and the world, and the purpose of human existence and all creation is to glorify God and fulfill His will.
– The Bible is the infallible and unique revelation given by God to humanity, and through it, people can know God and His will.
– God is the omnipotent being, existing as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, three in one.
– Humanity fell into sin through the disobedience of Adam and Eve, and all people were subjected to eternal death and judgment. However, God sent His Son Jesus as the Savior.
– Jesus Christ took upon Himself the sins of humanity on the cross and died in their place. But through His resurrection after three days, He broke the power of death. Jesus Christ is the only Savior leading to God. Salvation is the gift of God given to all who receive Jesus Christ as their Savior and believe in His substitutionary atonement.
– We believe that as Jesus Christ was raised from the dead, we who believe in Him as our Savior will also rise and receive eternal life.
– We believe in the presence of the Holy Spirit among us, the believers in Christ, and we desire to be filled with His wisdom and power.
– We believe in the Church, which stands upon the blood of Jesus Christ, and we become part of the Church to carry out God’s saving work towards the world. Through the Church, we receive the provision of Jesus Christ and work together with His saints to support one another.
